Urdapilleta

The Origin

Pello Urdapilleta, at his Elola farmhouse, works on recovering the native Euskal Txerri pig, a breed saved from extinction. He has over 400 Basque pigs, living freely and feeding naturally on beech and oak acorns, chestnuts, hazelnuts, and grass. A prime example of sustainable farming.

Rafa Gorrotxategi Chocolate Museum

The Preparation

Rafa Gorrotxategi, a renowned master artisan, will open the doors of his Chocolate Museum so you can discover the history of chocolate and its close connection with Euskal Herria over the centuries.

Jose Mari Gorrotxategi founded, in an 18th-century confectionery in the 1980s, the first museum documenting five centuries of candle, confectionery, and chocolate history. Today, Rafa takes over in a new space that also implements a new format. A museum that equally breathes flavor and knowledge.
